Production introduction

1. PCBN has high hardness and compressive strength close to diamond. The micro hardness of PCBN powder is 8000~9000HV, and the hardness of PCBN sintered material is 3000~5000HV;

2. The high wear resistance of PCBN is 50 times that of cemented carbide tools, 30 times that of coated cemented carbide tools, and 25 times that of ceramic tools; Small edge wear, long tool life and machining quality;
3. The thermal stability can reach 1400 ℃, the oxidation resistance temperature can reach 1800 ℃, and it has no chemical effect with iron group materials at more than 1000 ℃. These characteristics make it particularly suitable for high-speed cutting of superalloys and hardened steel, and the cutting speed is more than 3~5 times that of carbide tools;

4. The thermal conductivity of PCBN is much higher than that of high-speed steel and carbide, and the friction coefficient is 0.1-0.3 higher than that of carbide0.4-0.6. It is much smaller. This feature reduces the temperature of the tool tip, makes it difficult to form retention and chip buildup, reduces tool wear, and is conducive to improving the accuracy of high-speed finish machining;

5. The fracture toughness of PCBN is higher in superhard materials, which makes the feed rate of damage during cutting much larger than that of ceramic tools;

6. Excellent surface quality, one-time clamping can complete processing, high form and position tolerance accuracy and reduce working hours;
